Today has arrived the so expected book from Amazon (due to some complications I had to wait more than a month):

Band of Brothers, by Stephen E. Ambrose. For 16€ I get a nice used book Original Version (english), still smelling new ^^.

You can read this on its back:

On the bloody battlefield of World War II Europe, Easy Company, 506th Airborne Division, U.S. Army, got the toughest missions. As good a rifle company as any in the world, Easy was always in the thick of the flight- from parachuting into France under a hellish crossfire early D-Day morning, to the final capture of Hitler’s supposedly impregnable Eagle’s Nest at Berchtesgaden.

What about it? This book was the inspiration for the Golden Globe-Winning Miniseries on HBO: Band Of Brothers(9.6 IMDB rate !!!) . I think of it as one of the best TV-MiniSerie I’ve ever seen.

Both the Book and the TVserie tell about what happened to the best company in the WWII. From the boot camp (they did 10km/6 miles TWICE every day going to the Currahee!) , d-day, bastogne(that was hard…OMFG), to the final peace.

I’m eager to read it…

My opinion:

Yet to Read

What do you have to say about it?
